SHELL EGGS: Daily National Egg Market-at-a-Glance 


Prices in New York are 3 cents higher for Extra Large and Large, 1 cent 
higher for Medium.  California and regional prices are unchanged.  The 
undertone is steady to firm.  Offerings are light to moderate.  Supplies 
are mixed, ranging from tightly balanced to mostly moderate.  Retail 
demand is light to good, usually moderate to fairly good.  Food service
demand is very light to moderate.   Market activity is moderate to 
active in California, moderate in the regions.  Breaking stock offerings
are light to moderate for the moderate to instances fairly good demand.  
Spent fowl offerings are sufficient for normal to less than normal  
processing schedules.
